LETEPE TAKES BEE TO HARVARD
Letepe Maisela, founding chairman of Kgorong Investment Holdings, will be discussing the Black Economic Empowerment at the Annual Africa Business Conference at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Saturday, February 17, 2007.
Organized by Harvard University’s Africa Business Club, the conference attracts business gurus from over the world, addressing economic and social issues confronting the continent. The conference will feature a distinguished list of experts who will discuss Africa’s media industry, private equity, drug supplies, social entrepreneurship, tourism, international trade, emerging globalization, infrastructure, natural resources and several other topics relevant to Africa’s development.
This year's theme, "Integrating Africa into the Global Economy," presents the perfect platform to illustrate the transformation from an apartheid state to what is now Africa’s financial giant. Mr. Maisela will showcase the achievements of South Africa’s new economic transformation and developmental tool, Black Economic Empowerment (BEE), and speak on how the rest of Africa could benefit by South Africa’s economic transformation and empowerment of its people.
Letepe Maisela has carved his way to success in the highly competitive business circles of South Africa, one of Africa’s most economically stable countries. A self-made businessman, the founding chairman of the board of Kgorong Investment Holdings also holds directorship with companies such as S.A. Aerospace Maritime & Defence, Courier Freight Group, IFG Africa, Alstom Ltd., Black Management Forum, Village Management Consulting and other firms. He keeps his mentorship and humanitarian efforts private. Maisela is also a freelance writer of two published books, 'Survival in the Corporate Jungle' (1998) and 'The Empowered Native' published in 2005.
